According to the Arizona Daily Independent, Arizona House Representative Joseph Chaplik has been caught lying once again, this time with video evidence disproving his claim that the House Majority Leader Michael Carbone grabbed items from Chaplik’s desk and threw them on the floor. The article stated: “Chaplik lied, and it was a dumb lie, because of course there is video, so he got busted lying in full color”. Chaplik was previously the House Ethics chair and voted with Democrats in the committee that held a hearing on Representative Liz Harris determining she “lied” and ultimately leading to a floor vote which left Harris expelled from office. One article in the Tucson Sentinel read “Liz Harris expelled from Arizona House for lying about conspiracy presentation” and with the quote “Following a House Ethics Committee report released Tuesday that found Harris lied about her actions”.
Will Joseph Chaplik be charged with ethical violations and expelled from the House in the same way as was done to Harris? Or will he receive two-tier justice and special treatment?
