TP Action employees led by COO Tyler Bowyer now appear to be running a coordinated smear campaign against AZGOP Chair Gina Swoboda. Below is screenshot evidence which is only a SMALL SAMPLE. AI defines this tactic as “swarms of nano-influencers”. This TPAction tactic seems similar to one deployed by liberals spreading propaganda, read this article “Evidence reveals Harris campaign paying young social media influencers for pro-Harris content” from the Conservative Institute.

When asked for comment AZGOP Chair Gina Swoboda had this to say: “The Republican Party of Arizona is not for sale. Not to PACs, not to consultants, not to anyone, no matter how well intentioned, including Turning Point. Our party belongs to the State Committeemen who are elected by our PCs. This is a bottom up organization led by our grassroots and it will remain that way as long as I’m in the chair.”

Other request for comment was not immediately returned.

This came after Gina Swoboda responded by email to allegations from Mary Ann Mendoza promoting Cory McGarr for Chair:

“Fellow State Committeemen, I had hoped to run a positive campaign centered around our success in electing President Trump and winning Republican races up and down the ticket, but an email from my opponent Cory McGarr that many of you have received has forced me to respond. In that email, Cory McGarr enlisted a fellow failed candidate Mary Ann Mendoza to do his bidding and attack me. That’s unfortunate but not surprising. Here are the facts. In order to give our Republican candidates the best shot at winning their races against the onslaught of out of state Democrat money trying to buy control of the legislature, the party set up a coordinated campaign where Republican candidates could send mail out in coordination with the state party to save precious resources. Under this program, each of the candidates’ consultants – including Mr McGarr’s and Ms. Mendoza’s consultants – were hired by the party to produce the mail for their candidates. The state party did not produce the mail. As part of this arrangement, we implemented two rules. The first, was that the campaigns or their agents would produce the mail on behalf of the party subject to our approval. Second, we would approve the mail provided the mail did NOT attack another Republican candidate by name, and the mail did not attack Republican principles.

What Mr. McGarr and Ms Mendoza are referring to is a mailer sent out by her fellow Republican house candidate asking voters to vote for only one candidate. This is called single-shotting, and while I don’t personally think it is the best strategy, we had made an agreement with all the candidates – including Ms Mendoza who also did multiple pieces of mail under this program – to allow each candidate the freedom to control their own message. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF ARIZONA had nothing to do with the writing or designing of the mail piece Mr McGarr and Ms Mendoza are complaining about. NOTHING! Ms. Mendoza’s lies are particularly ironic because it was her and Mr. McGarr’s allies at Turning Point who were actually telling Republicans to vote for only one Republican candidate in that race, not the state party. As for Mr. McGarr sending out this specious attack, I would expect nothing less from him given his record. Sadly for Republicans, Mr. McGarr was the only Republican incumbent legislator to lose to the Democrats last year. Now, I know campaigns are hard, but Mr. McGarr lost in a district where EVERY OTHER REPUBLICAN won. That’s doesn’t speak well of Mr. McGarr’s ability to run a campaign or lead our state party to victory against the Democrats. I had hoped that Mr. McGarr and his allies at Turning Point – who are running his campaign – would not resort to lies and attacks, but it appears that hope was misplaced. As for the other unfortunate claims from Ms. Mendoza and Mr. McGarr, here’s the bottom line. No one who has EVER worked for John McCain or a McCain aligned group has or is working or consulting for our party. That’s a lie by Mr. McGarr and Ms Mendoza plain and simple.

It’s also worth noting that like you, I am from the grassroots and that’s why I am President Trump’s choice for lead our party. I was reluctant to allow candidates for party chair – including myself – to have access to the state committee email list. But in the interest of fairness, Mr. McGarr was provided your email and contact information yesterday, and now we see what he and Turning Point apparently plan to do with it. Mr. McGarr and his bosses at Turning Point are free to run the campaign they see fit, but it’s troubling and disturbing that they have taken the list of State Committee members and used it to disseminate false claims. As many of you know, as your Chairwoman, I’ve always played it straight with you, and I will continue to do so. We see enough lies from the Democrats, and the last thing we need is a Democrat-style campaign of lies from Mr. Mcgarr. My top priorities as your chairwoman are simple. Help Republicans defeat the Democrats and always stand up for our party. That’s what we did in 2024, and that’s what I intend to do as your chairwoman in 2026.

I would be honored to have your support and vote next Saturday in the election for Chair of the Republican Party of Arizona. For Freedom and Liberty, GINA SWOBODA”
